The 2011 NFL draft order is getting closer to completion as we have just one more week remaining in the 2010 NFL season. The Carolina Panthers have already locked up the No. 1 pick and, as of now, they're followed by the Denver Broncos and Cincinnati Bengals.
SB Nation's Mocking The Draft has a top 10 mock draft up right now and here's how the current top 10 stands in order: Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns.
With Carolina's spot, you have to assume QB Andrew Luck from Stanford is in play, even if they spent a second round pick on QB Jimmy Clausen last year. Auburn's Nick Fairley and Georgia's A.J. Green are also candidates at the top of the draft.
Another question is who will be the second quarterback taken. Luck has locked up the top spot among quarterbacks if he decides to come out but who's next in line? Options include Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert, Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett and Auburn QB Cam Newton, in no particular order. The second quarterback has yet to pull away from the pack.
Arizona is currently picking fifth and the 49ers sixth and they play this weekend so there will be some change there.
Once the regular season finishes we'll have all the interesting spots -- the top 10 -- wrapped up. The bottom of the draft order will be completely determined after the Super Bowl.
