Mocking the 2011 Draft from Teal Goggles v4

The college football season is over, so let's roll.

Carolina Panthers: Da’Quan Bowers | DE | Clemson-If they don’t take Luck then they’ll trade this way, but considering that would make this mock very complicated I decided to forgo that. The Panthers need help in a lot of areas and Bowers could provide a whole lot of help.

Detroit Lions: Patrick Peterson | CB | LSU-The Lions would have a lot of offense if they could keep Stafford healthy, but they’ll wait to do that at least until the second round (hopefully they’re not set with the current scrub at LT).  Adding Peterson would be a dream for the Lion’s defense, the nightmare is that they’re picking at 2 again.

Cincinnati Bengals: Andrew Luck | QB | Stanford-Carson Palmer is a shell of himself and Luck is a steal at three. I’ll refrain from the already overused, “Luck out”  joke. Or did I?

Arizona Cardinals: Ryan Mallett | QB | Arkansas-Wisenhunt is as good as gone if he doesn’t get a QB to turn around his offense and Fitz probably would be to.

Denver Broncos: Marcell Dareus | DE | Alabama-With Elvis back an the addition of Dareus, the Broncos would have makings of a fierce front.

Buffalo Bills: Nick Fairley | DE | Auburn-Fairley could be a monster in a 34D and the Bill are in desperate need of monsters on D.

San Francisco:  Prince Amukamara | CB | Nebraska-Considering how hard Alex Smith busted, I doubt the 49ers look to Locker or Newton in the first round and will probably look to add a playmaker on D like Amukamara

Washington Redskins: A.J. Green | WR | Georgia-Though they are in desperate need of pretty much everything on defense, the value and need that Green presents would be hard to pass up.

Dallas Cowboys: Adrian Clayborn | DE | Iowa-The one year the Cowboys are picking low enough to select an elite LT and the value just isn’t there, but they could get one hell of a DE in Clayborn.

Minnesota Vikings: Cam Newton | QB | Auburn-In one year Newton took the Tigers from average to possibly best in the nation, he’ll want to cash that in and some team will try to cash draft pick in on him early. The Vikings have a lot of weapons on offense and Tavaris Jackson doesn’t have the skill set to take advantage of them.

Tennessee Titans: Jake Locker | QB | Washington-Year of the QB indeed, a lot of people seem to think either Fisher or Young will be gone, I believe they’ll both be gone. If the organization has to choose between the two, then they’ll probably stick with Fisher and he’ll need a new, more mature QB to revitalize his team.

Cleveland Browns: Julio Jones | WR | Alabama-Colt and Julio down by the schoolyard.

Seattle Seahawks:  Robert Quinn | DE | UNC-The Seahawks might luck out again grabbing the best blind side protector and rusher in the 2010 and 2011 drafts respectably.

Houston Texans:  Janoris Jenkins | CB | Florida-The value for a safety is simply just not there, which is why I think the Texans will be going CB in back to back drafts.

Miami Dolphins: Mark Ingram | RB | Alabama-This pick fits like a glove, the Dolphins are in need of a fresh set of legs and Ingram could easily provide that.

St. Lious Rams: Justin Blackmon | WR | Oklahoma State-They have their new Warner, now they need their Holt. Enter greatest show on turf part deux.

New England Patriots: Anthony Castonzo | OT | BC-Light and Mankins won’t both be back, so Billy boy will grab the first OL off the board.

Indianapolis Colts: Gabe Carimi | OT | Wisconsin-Though part of me wants to mock a non-OL to the Colts so the Clots Fans will scream, it’s probably inevitable that Polian will be forced to grab any OL that he can find.

San Diego Chargers: Cam Jordan | DE | Cal-The Chargers need to start a complete overall of their D and Jordan would be a great piece to build on.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Von Miller | OLB | Texas A&M-Miller is the kind of piece that Morris would love to add to his D.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Jimmy Smith | CB | Colorado-Good Character, Fast Rising, Senior, Captain, and Big… sounds like a Gene Smith pick to me. His value, not yours.

Kansas City Chiefs: Stephen Paea | NT | OSU-Paea could be the only true NT in this draft, the Chiefs like to take the big guys early and cannot be completely content with Ron Edward as their NT.

New York Giants: Travis Lewis | OLB | Oklahoma-Value meets need for a team that’s hard to mock.

Philadelphia Eagles: Brandon Harris | CB | Miami-Again, value meets need and I think the Eagles will wait until later to address their OL.

Chicago Bears: Nate Solder | OT | Colorado-They are in dire needs of OL talent.

Green Bay Packers: Akeem Ayers | OLB | UCLA-They could also use help at OL, but with 3 tackles off the board in a week class, they’ll likely wait.

New York Jets: Michael Floyd | WR | Notre Dame-Sanchez could really use some constant handed receivers.

New Orleans Saints: Ryan Kerrigan | DE | Purdue-The Saints could look to Kerrigan to be the second Boiler Maker to make a huge impact on this team.

Baltimore Ravens: Aaron Williams | CB | Texas-This is fairly trendy with good reason, good value meets need.

Pittsburg Steelers: Mike Pouncey | OG | Florida-Part of me wants this to happen another believes this will happen. The Steelers need help on their OL and the Pounceys play great together.

New England Patriots: Cameron Hayward | DE | Ohio-Hayward has a slipped a bit, but Bill might still see enough value in him, thought they aren’t likely to keep both of these first round picks.

Atlanta Falcons Brandon Burton | CB | Utah-The Falcons will look to shore up their secondary at some point in the 2011 draft.
