You may have missed it, but Tough Guy happened over the weekend. It's easy to overlook, considering it occurs on a farm in England in January. But I imagine for those who complete the course, it's hard to forget.
Tough Guy is self described as the "most dangerous taste of mental and physical pain, fear and endurance." It is an eight-mile obstacle course, essentially, that features ice, fire, razor wire, mud, underwater tunnels and quotes like this from the event organizer: "We have a zipline this year which takes you down a 1,000 metres very quickly and if you don't let go above the water you'll go straight into the wall. We had a fair few broken bones."
This year, 600 of the 4600 who started the race had to drop out before the finish.
