Petr Prucha Leaves Coyotes And Stars Game On Stretcher

Yet another scary play in the NHL.

Petr Prucha took a hard hit by James Neal along the Jobing.com Arena boards, and was immediately knocked unconscious and laid still on the ice. As with these sort of injuries, officials took every precaution and Prucha was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

The hit appeared to be clean, as Neal finished a side to side check as Prucha passed the puck. There's some question as to whether Neal's elbow made some contact up high, but there's no doubt that the whiplash of the hit combined with Jobing's notoriously hard seamless boards played a part in the injury.
