You can argue that curling is too slow-paced for the Olympic games, or that luge is too dangerous, or that ski jumping's footprint is too small to consider it a global sport in any sense. You could argue figure skating is too subjective and prone to fraud. You could argue that cross-country skiing, though impressive in endurance and grit, can be grindingly boring when it's not a close race.
You may not, however, oppose the addition of an event called "Polar Bears" to the Olympics, because it will be incredible no matter what it is. Early leads to the Finns, Russians, and Canadians in the event, though don't rule out the Chinese being competitive. Pandas are like polar bears with training wheels, and without the constant urge to kill and eat humans. Who says NBC hasn't improved the games?
