Jarome Iginla, Dany Heatley, and Mike Richards have all scored for Canada to give them a 3-0 lead after the end of the second period. Canada is outshooting the Norwegians 30-10, and held a 16-6 advantage in the second period.
Norwegian goalie Pal Grotnes has to be Norway’s top player, making 27 saves through the first two periods. Roberto Luongo has had a fairly easy night so far, making all 10 saves. Heatley and Jonathan Towes are leading the Canadians in shots on goal with three a piece.
Expect the Canadians to continue to keep their foot on the gas pedal in the third period as the team tries to build chemistry and figure out how their teammates are going to play.
