I guess this was only natural after the NBA All-Star Game was such a huge commercial success. Because everything's bigger in Texas, or something.
Encouraged by the All-Star Game's success, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is thinking big. Like, "we need to have regular-season games in Cowboys Stadium" big. Here's what he told ESPNDallas' Tim MacMahon:
"There would be a lot of strategic reasons, in addition to potentially economic reasons, to play a game over there," Cuban said before the Mavericks' road game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. "You could bring in twice as many fans, so economically it'd probably work out, and it'd be a unique attraction for people who wanted to come play for the Mavs."
Yes, Cowboys Stadium is taking over our sports world. Soon, the Texas Rangers will play baseball games there, the Kentucky Derby will move to Texas, the Daytona 500 will become the Dallas 500 and the 2020 Olympic Games will be played exclusively in Cowboys Stadium. What, you don't think they could fit a swimming pool in there? Think again.
