Hannah Teter Leading After First Run In Women's Halfpipe

American Hannah Teter, looking to defend her 2006 Women's Halfpipe gold medal, is leading the competition after the first run Thursday night.

Teter scored a 42.4, and is ahead of China's Liu Jiayu by 3.1 points. Sophie Rodriguez of France is currently in third. Kelly Clark, the highest scoring American in qualifying, sits in seventh place. Teammates Elena Hight is in eighth.

Gretchen Bleiler, the silver medalist in Torino, fell in her first run, and is ranked 10th.

Every competitor has one more run, and only the highest of their two scores counts.
