Canada, Switzerland Tied 2-2, Heading To Overtime

After a spell binding third period in which Canada outshot Switzerland 18-3, we’ll be seeing overtime action in Vancouver. By Olympic rules, there will be a five minute, four-on-four sudden death overtime period before the game is sent to a shootout to determine the victor.

Jonas Hiller came up huge several times in the third period, and the rest of the Swiss team put together an unbelievable defensive period, especially on the penalty kill. Overall in the game so far, Switzerland has taken 14 minutes in penalties while Canada has taken just two.

The winner will get two points in the standings and the loser will pick up one.
