And with all due respect to the Grizzlies and the storybook season they’ve enjoyed thus far, this is the most Memphis Grizzlies moment ever. Really. A 60-foot shot with seven seconds on the clock—that’s one thing. But what makes it so quintessentially Grizzlies is Kobe on the other end. Just calmly nailing a three as time expired.
And even though Memphis wound up winning the game, that moment perfectly encapsulated the last ten years for both teams. Oof.
