Our Seahawks blog, Field Gulls, has attempted to mathematically determine which NFL teams were best, worst, or most average over the course of the last decade. Each team receives a point for every game won, more points for each playoff game won, even more points for Super Bowls reached, etc.
The results: unsurprisingly, the Patriots are determined to be the decade's greatest team by a large margin. At the bottom of the list we have the Lions, who finished below the Texans...despite the fact that the Texans had two fewer years in which to rack up points. And the two most mediocre teams? The Bears and Broncos. If you would like to hear a relevant Jay Cutler joke, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to SB Nation.
Check out the full post to see where your team ranks.
