Chan Ho Park Joins Yankees On One-Year Deal

The Yankees signed pitcher Chan Ho Park Monday morning to a one-year deal worth about $1.2 million.

Park, 36, pitched for the Phillies last season, where he started seven games, but was used mostly out of the bullpen. He will be used as a reliever in New York, as well, but could fill space in the back of the rotation if others falter or are injured.

His numbers from last season:

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2009 - Chan Ho Park 3-3 45 7 0 0 0 1 83.1 84 43 41 5 33 73 4.43 1.40
