Scott Schroeder from SB Nation’s NBA Developmental League blog Ridiculous Upside reports that the Wizards will sign Mike Harris from Rio Grande Valley to replace the injured Josh Howard.

Sources close to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers have reported that the Washington Wizards will call-up former Houston Rocket Mike Harris, presumably to fill the void left by Josh Howard, who is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Harris, a 6-foot-6, 235 pound combo-forward out of Rice, is averaging 26.3 points and 9.8 rebounds while shooting 58% from the field for the Vipers.

Harris last played in the NBA during the 2007/08 season as a member of the Houston Rockets during their historic 22-game winning streak. He was ranked as RU’s top prospect in the latest edition of their potential call-up rankings.
