The latest aspiring broadcast student to grab the spotlight is Jon Jankowski, who is a Kent State freshman from what I can gather. That seems to be the common theme in these little on-air slip-ups. Jankowski shares that with Brian Collins, who you know better as the "Boom Goes the Dynamite" guy. (More background on Collins thanks to Know Your Meme.
In addition to Collins and Jankowski, there's a non-sports meltdown that originated from my alma mater -- Ohio University -- that I'll embed after the jump. But all of these folks can take heart, because each school has pumped out some media stars. Kent State has Drew Carey. Ball State can claim David Letterman. Ohio University calls Matt Lauer its own.
So chin up, Jon Jankowski. Enjoy your internet fame and know that many greats stumbled their way through a broadcast at your very school.
For now, let's relive a few classics.
