Despite months of evaluations based on what happened on the football field, some players will see thier stock change dramatically over the next week...(combine)
Lets examine who may see the biggest JUMP or FALL
QBs: Let me remind people that there are more than two QBs eligible for the 2010 draft, as most mocks I have seen only have two picked before the 3rd round. I predict that in one week two of these QBs will be on everyones mock before the Rams pick at the top of the 3rd. (Colt McCoy, Tony Pike, Jevan Snead , two will jump up)
meanwhile even though Clausen will not throw at the combine, he will fall due to measuring shorter than expected.
RBs: Both Best and Ryan Matthews will run fast times, and jump ahead of Dwyer, and everyone will put Matthews as San Diegos first round pick.
WRs with the size and speed of Benn NEVER fall into the 2nd round. Small but quick guys fall, but not guys like Benn. He will show himself as superior to LaFell who will be a 2nd pick.
one of Golden Tate or D. Williams will rise above the other to be the LAST 1st round WR (not just who?)
CBs: I have seen about 8 names listed as possible 1st round corners, but Pat Robinson will seperate himself as the only CB to join Haden in the 1st round.
DEs: Before the college football season began, I had Carlos Dunlap as the 2nd pick in the entire draft, I saw several games in which I was astonished at how he looked like a man among boys! (kind of like me playing football with my kids, deathly afraid that I will accidentally hit someone too hard and knock them over or something)
All those comparisons to Mario Williams and Peppers will reemerge and Dunlap will rise above Derek Morgan as the top DE.
Brandon Graham was great at the Senior Bowl, but at the combine he will be average, not even as good as Jason Worilds (similar body type) and Graham will slip back into the early 2nd round.
Ricky Sapp will be the star of the combine, and will cement himself as a first round 3-4 OLB, and Greg Hardy will never show up in the first two rounds again. Norwood will be in the late 2nd round after being labeled slow and short.
ILB: Both Spikes and McClain will drop, but McClain will still go top 12 but not be a factor for KC at #5, Spikes will likely fall to the top of the 2nd round.
AND FINALLY ....there will be some real talk of Gerald McCoy being the TOP pick in the draft and a better ATHELETE than Suh!!
