Ozzie Guillen joined Twitter today, already has over 6,000 followers (although he won't be following anyone) and is making updates in Spanish. His Chicago managerial counterpart, Lou Piniella, was asked about this Twitter stuff Wednesday afternoon. As is the case any time you ask an elderly person who isn't on Twitter their thoughts on Twitter, the response is amusing:
"First of all, I don't know how to Twitter," he said. "And second of all, I'm not going to learn how to Twitter."
"But I'm really not a Facebook or Twitter guy," he said. "I'm a prime-rib-and-baked-potato guy. I hate to say that, but it's true."
That's right, dear reader: In life, you have two options -- being a social media guy, or being a food guy. Choose wisely; YOU CAN'T BE BOTH.
