Even those who doubt that Tim Tebow will be a useful player in the NFL, quarterback or otherwise, acknowledge that one of the few ways the team could galvanize its fan base would involve the former Heisman Trophy winner playing for the hometown Jacksonville Jaguars. Lending credence to that notion is a fan's web site created to lobby for the team to draft Tebow.
The site, draft15.com, includes a petition aimed at the Jaguars management and coaching staff. That's delightfully quaint, considering the highway billboard has been the exhorting method of choice for NFL fans in recent years. The site also features selected quotes from football analysts and figures in praise of His Worship, Tim Tebow. Of course, there's also a T-shirt for sale, which bears the slogan "...if you draft him, we will come."
I greatly anticipate the follow-up shirt reading, "Well, you drafted him and we came. Then the novelty wore off and he wasn't very good, so we stopped coming." Not sure if that's concise enough for a shirt, but I'll check with the printers.

Of course they do. It would be an upgrade from what they got now. But the only reason the owner wants him is to put Gator fans in the seats not because he is the best available QB. Thats why that team will never win a championship. But it will be fun watching that train wreck

Tebow is certainly not an upgrade from Gerrard. That’s absurd. But, if they want him, let them have him. The guy is locked in a bunker somewhere working on a completely new throwing motion (a relatively big thing to start over on, since he’s a quarterback) that he won’t even "unveil" until he’s throwing to his receivers on his Pro Day. He can’t even take a snap under center. Yes, we have video of him running backwards and holding the ball where it should be held. Wow. We also had video of Yi Jianlin posting up a folding chair. Who cares? They’ll be tired of that pick after three tears of him riding a bench.

wow, when was the last time a QB coming out of college was so hated upon? (Glory, Glory Hallajhuah starts playing softly in backgroud) Is this not America the land we pride in being able to follow ones’ dream? Is this not the place where if you have a dream, you have a chance? (music gets louder) Who are we as Americans to look our brethren in the eye (cressindo) and say you can’t do that?(something, something marching home)Let the man play!!!!

The man can play all he wants…the problem is he doesn’t know how. You do realize there are no Citidal’s or Florida Atlantic’s in the NFL right?
The kid is PR machine. Take Percy Harvin off those teams and Tebow has zero titles. It was Harvin who was always the best player on that team.

The premise of the article is rather dumb. If Tebow stinks up the NFL and the Jags lose, fans not going to pay for tickets for long, Gator or not. Tebow might give the Jags a game or two bump in ticket sales, if he plays, but he has to win to keep up the ticket sales. Winning draws fans. Period.

Sorry Gerrard sucks I am not a Tebow or Fla fan but if i had to choose between the 2 i will take my chances with Tim. Tim is another Michael Vick (except the killig of dogs) he will run before he passes. Not saying Tim is a good QB he has more upside than David.

SailorGabe, you do realize he played in the SEC? The league that is known for defense. Every college team plays a few cupcakes, even your precious USC QB’s played against some very bad teams.
Also, in the SEC Title game two years ago (Florida’s toughest game that season), Percy did not play. It was Tebow that won the game in the fourth quarter. I guess you must have missed that one.

Hey Davie Gator what happened to the dive master last year in the SEC championship game? Everyone wearing those Tebow shirts should put there money where there mouth is and buy three seasons worth of tickets. Then you can bet Wayne Weaver will draft Tebow. Put your money where your mouth is Gators!!!!!!!!!!Everyone who signs the petition go down and line up outside the stadium and do it.

Can’t win every game, but I’m very happy with the season we had—-minus a few off the field happenings.

Dave don’t worry about it. If you have to lose at least it was to another SEC team. Everyone is bashing the best Conf in Collage Football yet again some SEC team steps up and wins it again for the SEC. Case Closed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
