American Four-Man Bobsled Team Captures Gold
The US notched another gold medal today with its four-man bobsled team; the foursome of Steve Holcomb, Justin Olsen, Steve Mesler, and Curt Tomasevicz notched the top time in the first three of the four runs, all but guaranteeing the gold. Their third-place finish in the last run was easily enough to win the event.
Germany and Canada provided token resistance, staying within a tenth of a second of each other for the entire four-race until a phenomenal showing by Germany in the final run gave them the silver by two hundredths of a second.
Also, we resisted the temptation to just litter this thing with Cool Runnings references. You deserve better, readers.
