It took him eight years to live down his past Olympic mistakes, but Canadian curling captain Kevin Martin finally prevailed on Saturday night, winning his country's 13th gold medal. The Canadians may not be leading the overall medal count, but today's victory gives them an even wider lead in overall gold medals.
Impressive stuff, and the Canadian curlers were just as successful as their countrymen have been throughout the rest of the games. Behind Martin, the Canadians turned in a near-flawless performance against Norway, winning comfortably by a 6-3 margin in one of Canada's most cherished events.
