About 31 miles, to be precise, but it seems like even longer if you fall with less than 100 meters to go. That's precisely what happened to Switzerland's Dario Cologna during the men's 50K cross-country medal event:
Cologna was in position to win a medal after skiing up and down hills for over two hours. He wasn't tripped, and he didn't collide with anyone. He simply lost his balance and fell. After years of intense, grueling training. See you in 2014, I hope?
