Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Dominique Jones continued to carry South Florida on his back with 29 points, as the Bulls knocked off a second ranked team in as many games with a 72-64 win against No. 7 Georgetown at the Verizon Center.
Jones added seven rebounds and netted 22 of his points in the second half, where South Florida outscored Georgetown 46-29 en route to the win.
Mike Mercer chipped in 12 points and six rebounds for the surging Bulls (15-7, 5-5 Big East), who are riding an impressive four-game win streak.
USF knocked off Providence and Seton Hall in overtime before defeating nationally-ranked Pittsburgh, 70-61, on Sunday.
Austin Freeman and Greg Monroe scored 21 points apiece in the loss. Monroe also grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked three shots but fouled out with 2:52 left in a two-point game.
Chris Wright checked in with eight points and six assists for the Hoyas (16-5, 6-4, who had won three of four and were coming off a resounding 89-77 thumping of fellow top-10 competitor Duke on Saturday.
