A month and a half after the Carolina Panthers got the process started (hey-o!), the demolition of Giants Stadium is underway today, according to Fox News. The Giants and Jets will set up in their new digs next season in a new location in the Meadowlands that, while not exactly Jerry Jones-esque, will still be the third-largest stadium in the league.
And just in case you forgot Giants Stadium is actually across the river in New Jersey, Fox points out that the old stadium not only hosted football and soccer games, but that it was also "the scene of numerous Bruce Springsteen concerts".
The new Giants Stadium will not be far behind in Jersey street cred though: Bon Jovi will officially open the new venue in May.
