This comes to us by way of our excellent Yankees blog, Pinstripe Alley. Apparently, the city of Fargo, North Dakota is home to one inflammatory son of a Gunderson:
Wow. Even when Maris receives North Dakota billboard immortality, he doesn't get his due. Why is "Legitimate" in quotes? Is this guy subversively arguing that Babe Ruth is the true single-season home run king?

Maris
Yes, Roger Maris is the only real homerun leader of the Majors. Without a question he never used steriods or any other kind of drugs and deserves to wear the crown of all-time homerun leader. Nobody can take that away from him, until someone comes along that hasn’t used artifical means to improve their performance. Bonds and the rest including the maybe new all time leader A-Rod used and maybe continuing to use drugs to get an edge in their performances. Just look at Bonds before SF and after 95 and A-Rod as high schooler compared to the rest of the players. No way nochance either of them didn’t use antabolic steriods and other artifical drugs to improve themselves. Roger deserves to continue to be the home king until someone does it better.
