As often as possible, I try to measure fan reaction to the drivers during pre-race introductions.
In the past, I've done it on a 1-10 scale using my ears. This year, I enlisted help using a new decibel meter.
Here are the drivers who got the most noise prior to tonight's Budweiser Shootout:

Boos vs Cheers
People can cheer louder than they can boo. The closeness of the sound level tells me more people were booing @kylebusch than cheering Jr!

Nice feature! The average pitch might be an interesting metric. Boos would put drivers on the low end, and beatle-mania style shrieking would put drivers like Kasey Kahne on the top!
