Luke Harangody Could Miss Rest Of Season, Which Is Good For Notre Dame

The Associated Press is reporting that Notre Dame's Luke Harangody could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury sustained in a February 11 game against Seton Hall. Coach Mike Brey said there was a chance he wouldn't come back and added that the Fighting Irish are prepared to play without him for at least the next two games.

This might be good news for Notre Dame. Seriously. You'd think that the loss of a player of Luke Harangody's caliber would mean the end of Notre Dame's formerly faint hopes of making the NCAA Tournament, but since Harangody's injury, Notre Dame has wins over then- No. 12 Pittsburgh at home and No. 11 Georgetown on the road. They've spread the offensive load around and are playing more together as a team.

So for Notre Dame's sake, maybe it's good for Harangody to stay out and get healthy. They're playing better without him anyway.
