SBN's One Bronco Nation Under God breaks down WAC commissioner Karl Benson's interview on the future of their conference and Boise State's interview. Though never treading even close to the same plane of pomposity occupied by, say, your Jim Delany types, Benson does have his moments of petulance at the thought of his prize pony prancing off to greener pastures. Observe (emphasis added):
The question: How much have you been in contact with Boise State in terms of (their future plans)?
The answer: "... I would hope that if and when an invitation (to Boise State) comes that there would be an evaluation made that’s in the best interest of the university, and there would be recognition that the WAC has provided Boise State very well."
He's a good provider! Those lovin' arms! That dependable soul! So before you surrender to the bad-boy embrace of those motorcycle MWC hoodlums, belle Boise State, just remember who it was brung you to the dance, y'hear?
