More good news for Canadian fight fans.Warrior One MMA (W-1) has signed an open contract with Fox Sports Fightzone TV, giving the up-and-coming fight promotion the ability to air up to sixteen 90-minute episodes highlighting W-1 events.
- MMA Mania brings word of yet another fight promotion getting a TV deal.
Warrior One's next event features Jason MacDonald vs. Vernon "Tiger" White in the headlining role.
It's not exactly a huge promotion which is why I think the news is so good. When mediocre fight promotions are able to get their events on TV it shows that the sport has really grown. It also doesn't hurt that Canada loves their MMA, so getting a regional show on the air is likely a bit easier there than in America.
