Yankees fans, I beg you do not click this link. Trust me, you don't want to.
I told you not to click that link. While you're at, don't click this link, either. It's all just too hard to take, I'm sure.
Now that the old Yankee Stadium is taking a slow tumble to the Earth, where's all the hubbub? This is one of the most historic stadiums in not only baseball history, but sports history being chopped down like a giant redwood. Shouldn't there be Yankees fans outside crying, placing flowers at the base of the rubble? Isn't that what happens at things like this?
Where are the tear-jerking memorials running on SportsCenter every morning? Where's the David Letterman top 10 countdown lists? Where's the love?
Maybe old Yankee Stadium is just that: old. Who needs that old thing when the Yankees already have a perfect World Series-winning percentage in the new Yankee Stadium?
Old Yankee Stadium is like that great pair of Converse you've had for 15 years -- it's done it's job, but what has it done for you lately? Besides, those shiny new Air Jordans are pretty fly...

Time is not good to anyone
It really isn’t that sad, just seems a bit weird to see that building that has been around forever getting demolished. The place has millions of memories for millions of people, but it was time to move on.
Being there before or after a game inside the tunnels was so claustrophobic and I don’t usually have a problem with confined spaces. It was clear why they needed new digs. It really was just time to move on.
