Regan Smith said recently that by the time summer rolls around, his Furniture Row Racing team could be one that everyone is talking about.↵
And despite Smith sitting 26th in driver points after four races, there could be reason to believe him.
Furniture Row began a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing this season, and it's under the same chassis program as the three RCR cars (all in the top six in points).↵
And for power? Furniture Row is getting its motors from Hendrick Motorsports for the third straight season.↵
Furniture Row general manager Joe Garone said the team is "being treated as a teammate" of the RCR cars, and the information sharing is going both ways.↵
So will the alliances pay off?↵
That remains to be seen, but teaming up with Childress and Hendrick certainly can't hurt.↵
