Earlier today, we were wondering what would become of Brady Quinn after the Cleveland Browns signed Jake Delhomme. Fortunately, we weren't forced to wait long; just a day after (sigh) giving Delhomme $8 million a year, the Browns have shipped Quinn off to Denver.
The terms, according to Jay Glazer, are Quinn for multipurpose back Peyton Hillis and two conditional draft picks. This means the Browns have completely overhauled their quarterback position, presumably going with a Delhomme/Seneca Wallace two-deep. Sure, those two probably aren't, say, better than Derek Anderson and Quinn. They are different people, however, and that's probably enough for the Cleveland braintrust of Tom Heckert and Mike Holmgren to say they've done their job.
