Rejoice, fans of NHL, MMA and whatever else Versus broadcasts, for the fight with DirecTV is officially over:
DIRECTV and Comcast have reached an agreement to return VERSUS to the DIRECTV programming lineup today. VERSUS will be returning to the same programming packages it was at the end of August 2009. Versus should be up on Channel 603 no later than 7PM ET/4PM PT.
Those tweets are from the official DirecTV Twitter feed, so this will not turn out to be a false alarm like we had a couple weeks ago.
For hockey fans, it's fortunate timing -- the playoffs start next month, a majority of which is set to be aired on Versus. And for MMA fans, the news comes just before UFC on Versus, featuring Vera vs. Jones on March 21st.

Thank god
I don’t know what I would’ve done without my six-hour bullriding marathons, fishing tournaments, and bike races. Oh, and hockey.
