David Perron has shown flashes of brilliance for the St. Louis Blues this year while amassing a career-high, 18 goals. During Tuesday's game against the Colorado Avalanche, the third-year professional put his shiftiness to work again to score in the second period.
Colorado would have the last laugh, winning 5-3 and holding St. Louis back from a rise in the Western Conference standings. The Blues are seven points shy of the final playoff spot and have 13 matches remaining to turn it around. Judging from Perron's statistics, he'll have to bring his A-game a lot more often than he has in order for that to be a possibility.
