Rams Won't Make Decision On Bradford For Several Weeks

The Rams are sending both of the major decision makers in the organization to watch Sam Bradford throw at his pro day on Monday. Both coach Steve Spagnuolo and GM Billy Devaney will be in attendance for the 63-throw scripted session.

In addition to that, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the Rams will conduct a private workout for Bradford on April 19th -- just three days before the start of the NFL draft.

Mortensen reports "a team source said they won't make a final decision until after the team orchestrates a private workout for him on April 19, just three days before the draft's first round."

The Redskins are also scheduled for a private workout with Bradford on April 15th but it's unlikely at this point that they'll have a shot at him.

'Optimistic Reports' On Sam Bradford's Injured Shoulder

The NFL hasn't seen Sam Bradford throw a football since he injured his shoulder in the 2009 college football season. According to reports, the shoulder is checking out.

Privately, word around the league is the Rams have received optimistic reports about Bradford's shoulder, that the procedure, done by renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews, wasn't nearly as serious as the repairs Andrews made on Drew Brees' shoulder before Brees signed with the New Orleans Saints.

This is one of the major issues concerning the Rams taking Bradford with the first overall pick in the draft.

The way it sounds, the shoulder shouldn't be an issue.

Bradford will throw for scouts on Monday.

Rams Met With QB Sam Bradford This Week

QB Sam Bradford will be at the Oklahoma pro day on March 29th doing drills for various NFL scouts.

We've already learned the Redskins will be hosting him for a private workout prior to the April 22nd draft.

As it turns out, the Rams, who have the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, actually met with Bradford this week.

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that Rams officials met with Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford in Florida this week.

Sources told the paper's Brian Burwell that general manager Billy Devaney and offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur met Bradford where he's working out.

It makes sense to meet with and talk to him as much as possible. If the Rams select him first overall, he'll be the face of the franchise and pulling in over $30 million guaranteed.

SB Nation's Mocking The Draft suspects the Rams will conduct a private workout with him following Oklahoma's pro day.

Redskins Hosting Private Workout For Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford

The Redskins were one of a few teams that are conducting a private workout with Florida QB Tim Tebow and they'll now be one of two teams to schedule a private workout with Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post.

Top draft prospect Sam Bradford is scheduled to have a private workout with the Redskins before next month's draft, according to Ben Dogra, one of Bradford's agents. The Redskins are one of two teams who have scheduled such private workouts and will see Bradford in Norman, Okla., on April 15th, one week before the NFL Draft.

The Redskins hold the fourth pick so Bradford would have to fall past the other three teams, which may not be likely.
