San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Manu Ginobili led eight Spurs in double figures with 23 points to go with 11 assists as San Antonio blew out the Golden State Warriors, 147-116, at the AT&T Center.
Richard Jefferson added 21 points and Tim Duncan had 17, six rebounds and five assists for the Spurs, who recorded their biggest point total since beating Denver, 161-153, on November 7, 1990.
Malik Hairston had a career-best 16, and Matt Bonner and DeJuan Blair chipped in 14 each, all off the bench, as the Spurs won for the fifth time in six tries.
Monta Ellis led all scorers with 39 points and Corey Maggette racked up 30 for the Warriors, who have dropped two of their last three and were without guard Stephen Curry (sprained left ankle).
The Spurs tallied a season-high 77 points on 65.3 percent shooting in the first half.
The Spurs jumped out to a 15-7 advantage on a Ginobli three-point play with 7:50 left in the first quarter. San Antonio held a 41-28 at the end of the frame after converting on 75 percent of its shots.
Jefferson nailed a triple to extend the Spurs edge to 60-40 with 6:41 left in the first half. The Warriors trimmed the deficit to 12 on an Ellis three- pointer, but San Antonio finished the half up 77-61.
Bonner nailed a three, putting the Spurs up 25 in the third quarter with 6:39 left as they continually extended the cushion, leading to a 121-90 difference moving to the fourth.
"We didn't compete at a level we needed to even have a chance against this team," said Warriors coach Keith Smart. "I'm not even saying to probably win it, but you need to have a very high competitive level from the very first quarter to have a chance to make them have to play with Duncan on the floor a little bit more. That wasn't the case early on and then we had to play catch- up, and then it just snowballed from there. We don't have enough people to play against this type of team. We're very small, they're very big."
In the final quarter, the Spurs poured it on, leading by as many as 40 before finishing off the Warriors.
Warriors coach Don Nelson was ejected in the first quarter after arguing...The Spurs finished the game shooting 64.6 percent (62-of-96), but just 53.1 percent from the foul line...Ian Mahinmi scored 12 off the bench for San Antonio...The Warriors only dressed eight players...Reggie Williams scored 15 and grabbed seven boards for the Warriors...The Spurs outrebounded the Warriors 53-29.
