Ndamukong Suh 'Excited' After Visit With Lions

The Lions are continuing their preparation for April's NFL Draft in which they hold the second overall pick. Already, the Lions have hosted Oklahoma DT Gerald McCoy and Oklahoma State LT Russell Okung.

On Thursday and Friday they hosted Nebraska DT Ndamukong Suh, who said he was excited after his visit to Detroit.

"From talking to him, he was very excited," Suh's agent, Roosevelt Barnes, said Friday in an interview with the Web site Mike O'Hara Sports. "He just felt really good about the whole visit."

If you trust mock drafts as gospel, then Suh could be available for the Lions. Analysts are projecting Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford as the Rams top choice in the draft. However, Suh's agent has said the Rams are not set on Bradford.

"Not at all," Barnes said when asked if the Rams had made a decision. "St. Louis hasn't made a decision yet. St. Louis is still in play."

SB Nation's Mocking The Draft feels even if Suh is available, the Lions could go another direction.

It's also no lock that Detroit could take Suh if he's there. The team could seek a trade, or possibly even select offensive tackle Russell Okung, whom they've considerable interest in.
