When the season began, Oklahoma State's James Anderson wasn't considered to be much of an NBA prospect, but after a banner year that ended with him being named as the Big 12 player of the year, he's played his way into the discussion as a high draft pick.
Because of that, Anderson is expected to announce today that he will declare himself for the NBA Draft, according to The Oklahoman. He will make the announcement at a press conference today at 3 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. local time).
Anderson is expected to be picked somewhere in the middle of the first round, though he didn't help his stock much with a poor performance against Georgia Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Draft Express has him going to the Spurs with the 20th selection in their latest mock draft.
