Kevin Harvick, frustrated at getting caught up in the Carl Edwards mess after telling a radio show that Edwards was "fake," lashed out at the NASCAR media corps on Tuesday afternoon.
"You guys just want it both ways," he said. "You want it so where we give you our opinion and then you guys bury us after we give it to you to make everybody look as bad as possible.
"It's one of those things where you say something and it goes as far as everybody wants to take it. I have an opinion on a lot of things."
So does Harvick plan to change anything?
"I just quit reading all the crap you guys write," he said.
Next up was a reporter who asked a technical question about the change to the spoiler.
"A technical question? Today?" Harvick said, voice dripping with sarcasm. "You mean you're not going to try to stir anything up? You should receive a medal."

maybe all these drivers (Carl, Brad, Kevin) should turn their anger and frustration towards Jimmie Johnson. Might be interesting to see what would happen…

I agree with Kevin 100%. He gave the same opinion pretty much everyone has about Carl, ie he acts one way on the track and a another way off, and he gets crucified for it. Last weekend every single driver was asked about Brad and Carl in the Friday media sessions, That’s completely ridiculous. Why should Kevin, or Burton, or anyone be asked what they think would happen during the “secret meeting?” And more importantly why should they CARE? What would really be nice is if the media focused on what was going on in the driver’s own situation, which for Kevin was LEADING the points.
I think he was 100% right on. He gave his opinion because he was ASKED. He didn’t go looking for someone to talk about the situation to. If you want to poke the tiger, don’t get mad when you get bit. That’s all I’m saying.

as soon as Kevin said anything on the matter….they dragged out all the old video etc from the past. Not u Jeff…but some of the media gets all this going because there isn’t anything else going on with JJ winning more that 50%of the time. just stinks.

I didnt see the Media Bury him. They reported what he said. If he doesn’t want people to know then he doesn’t have to answer the question. Over the last year i think hes the best at not answering a question. Like when it comes to resigning with RCR. He could have used the same like he always does. I like Kevin. I liked what he said. But how can you blame the media for what you said lol.

This is just my opinion, but I think he was irritated by how badgered he was for one statement. I don’t know if you caught the Nationwide race but Jamie Little chased him across the infield WHILE he was being introduced by the fans to pester him about Carl. She even jumped up in the truck to continue to poke at him about something that he didn’t need to be pestered with before getting in the car. Very inappropriate timing in my opinion. Were it me I would have been VERY irritated, but Kevin was polite, ignored the stupid question and instead of going into it mentioned how his car was going to be good for the race. He also declined to comment after Carl’s comments were brought to him and read to him. It seems he made it clear he was over it and had no comment. That’s pretty much my point. Why continue to pester him with something he’s already declined comment on? I’m just saying I can understand the irritation. LOL

Kevin told the truth and got plastered by the media
Fans know that Carl is a two-faced goober. He plays Mr. Nice Guy…or, first time I’ve agreed with Kyle Busch, Mr. Ed…to our face and goes out on the track to take people out when they get in his way. He has a much worse history than Brad Keselowski has or ever will have.
Not part of this article, but….Oh, and Jimmie…So what if Brad raced you hard? EVERY driver should be racing you hard every lap instead of giving up and laying down in front of you so you can win your 5th championship as that caller suggested on Windtunnel Sunday night.

Just wondering
How did he get “plastered by the media?” Who in the media criticized Harvick for his comments? Carl Edwards got upset, but other than that…?
