Darcy Tucker of the Colorado Avalanche will serve a one-game suspension for getting overly physical with Los Angeles Kings defenseman Matt Greene during an icing play on Monday. He will sit out Wednesday's match against the very same Kings.
If you'll recall, a similar sequence took place with Jarome Iginla and Sheldon Souray at the beginning of the season. While it wasn't an icing touch-up, the situation was identical and Souray missed 16 games with a concussion. It's another area the league needs to be stricter on and perhaps Tucker's suspension is the starting point.
