Some hockey players don't let age decide their level of play and can still make something out of nothing on the ice. Paul Kariya notched his 17th goal of the season and 401st of his career in Detroit on Wednesday. He's 35 years-of-age but looks like the same person who made his debut with the Anaheim Ducks as a youngster.
Nicklas Lidstrom and Brian Rafalski don't get caught flat-footed very often together but Kariya hasn't lost his terrific wheels after all this time. St. Louis fell on the short end of a 4-2 loss and their playoff aspirations look very bleak in the Western Conference. Five of Kariya's 17 goals have come against the Red Wings.
