Most Flyers fans are under the impression that the current goaltending situation has them in a position which isn't surmountable because of the injuries to Ray Emery and Michael Leighton. However, there must be some who still believe this group can carry on despite all of the roadblocks and those people must have missed goaltender Brian Boucher's showing on Thursday against Minnesota.
For a glimpse of his performance, here's the overtime winner he allowed.
Whoops.
Philadelphia outshot the Wild 35-21 but surrendered a two-goal lead in the third period prior to Kyle Brodziak's long shot finding a way past Boucher. The Flyers dropped to seventh in the Eastern Conference and their new No.1 netminder is 1-4-1 since replacing Leighton.
