We passed along a report the other day that Jimmy Clausen had at least three pre-draft visits set up with teams picking in the top ten. According to Steve Wyche of NFL.com, we can add two more teams to that list -- Redskins and Jaguars.
The Redskins working him out is a no-brainer. One of their perceived needs, depending on who you ask, is quarterback and Clausen is widely recognized as the second best quarterback in the draft. It's the Jaguars, Wyche reports, that has some folks wondering what's up.
Of those teams, Jacksonville could be the most surprising, although it did flirt with the idea of using its first-round pick on a quarterback last season before opting to stay put and select offensive tackle Eugene Monroe.
The Jaguars are probably realizing that David Garrard probably won't make it through the six-year contract he signed. He's a decent player but by no means a game-changer.
The Jags have also been linked to Tebow, though that's more because of the tickets he could sell versus his on-field talent.
