Ryan Callahan's debut with the United States Olympic team proves how valuable shot-blocking, checking and energy are for any group. The 24-year-old does all of those things and is threatening to post 20 goals for the second consecutive campaign with the New York Rangers.
Callahan scored twice in Ottawa yesterday during a 4-1 win and the first indicated how much his offensive side is surfacing increasingly.
The puck was actually stuck in the net similarly to how the defenseman's mistake will be stuck in his head for a few days. Take that Matt Carkner and Brian Elliot.
