6'4, 287 pounds | Defensive tackle | Alabama
Strengths: Played in a 3-4 defense, but mostly as a rotational player. Showed the athleticism and quickness on the snap to excel in that scheme. Shows a good bull rush to collapse the pocket. Will chase down ball carriers nearby. Plays with a lot of toughness. Was once shot in the arm only to play three days later.
Weaknesses: We rate Deaderick as a defensive tackle because of his pass rush flaws. he's inconsistent in his effort and doesn't have a move besides a bull rush. Should he play inside, he'll have to get much stronger. Can be neutralized by single blockers. Needs to come out of his stance lower. Benefited from playing next to Terrence Cody and rarely saw double teams.
Final word: Deaderick is one of the best "natural" 3-4 defensive linemen in this year's draft. But to stick in that scheme, he'll have to become more of a disruptor. His lower body is very strong, but he needs to add power to his upper body.
