Over All-Star Weekend, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant bought gifts for each member of the 2010 All-Stars, Kobe gifting to 14 members of the West, while LeBron handled all 12 members of the East. From ESPN’s True Hoop:
Speaking via blackberry, James and Bryant settled on getting Dre’s $350 “Studio’’ version headphones. They then contacted Dr. Dre and asked him to customize each set of headphones by making them in the All-Star colors (blue for the East, red for the West) and putting each player’s number on them. That cost an extra $100 per set.
For analysis we welcome America’s favorite cultural commentator… Fake Scoop Jackson!
What’s that? My fault, world. Couldn’t hear you callin’ for Uncle Scoop. These Dre headphones are noise canceling. Stole mine from Chis Kaman after Kobe hooked him up.
Hate the game, y’all. I’m just a player.
You could say they were playin’ bass-ket-ball out there in Dallas, but this ain’t South Park. Uh-uh. This is hip-hop. And basketball. Used to pay Kobe, now I pay Lebron. (What up Jeezy?)
They both paid more than $5,000 to hook it up for their All-Star teammates. ‘Cause that’s what it costs to be the boss. And if you don’t have Dr. Dre headphones on your Dome, like wearin’ sneakers to club, might as well head on home.
Nothin’ but a five G thang to Kobe and Bron.
No puppets, son. These boys are ballin for real.

I’m thinkin’ Fake Scoop needs to have lunch some time with Fake Mo Almond. Conversation would be poetic, y’all.
