Something truly unbelievable has happened today during the European Poker Tour. On live television, while a hand was being played, six armed gunmen stormed the room and staged a robbery. Yes, we have video. Observe:
PokerStars has released this statement on the incident:
“An armed robbery by six men took place today at EPT Berlin. Nobody was seriously injured. We hope to re-start all events at 4pm local time. A police investigation is underway. If you have video footage or photographs that could help the police, please contact the EPT organizers as soon as possible.”
These guys apparently escaped with over $1 million. Wow.
