The New Jersey Nets just whipped New York in New York, 113-93, which can mean only one of two things:
We prefer the latter scenario, if only because otherwise meteors will rain from the sky and the Raptors mascot will turn into an actual dinosaur and THIS will be for keeps all of a sudden. Nobody wants that.
No, the real issue is that the Knicks have now lost 12 of their last 14, and looking at their schedule, it's only going to get worse. They have a home game against Atlanta, then a 5-game road swing. They could plausibly not win again until April. Even tonight, if you tasked an uninformed observer with picking which of the teams had three times as many wins on the season than the other, they'd likely have picked the Nets. Then they'd have predicted that LeBron was coming to New York, because like we just said, they're uninformed.
Oh, and if the Nets finish this season on a 20-game winning streak, they'll still miss the playoffs by about 10 games. And they still beat the Knicks on their home floor. By 20 points. The Nets did that. Just needed to see that in print again.

And if the
Hawks don’t beat the Knicks tonight they need their behinds whooped. Just thinking about if the Hawks lose to the Knicks tonight is no laughing matter.
