Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen threw for scouts on the Notre Dame campus Friday. Following the lead with Oklahoma and Sam Bradford's workout, the entire session was streamed live on Notre Dame's official site.
According to various reports, Clausen's session was solid but not spectacular. The general consensus is that Bradford's workout was more impressive.
SI's Tony Pauline breaks down the action on Friday.
Clausen displayed solid velocity and speed on his short and intermediate throws. The ball quickly arrived to receivers and his passes displayed a lot of pop. For the most part he was accurate. Late in the workout he delivered some nice strikes down the field.
Yet while most of Clausen's passes were on the mark, the timing of his throws seemed off at times. His pass placement also was nothing out of the ordinary.
Clausen reportedly completed 57/59 passes but wasn't able to demonstrate full mobility coming off of a toe injury that kept him out of competing at the NFL Combine in February.
Clausen will now make the rounds on pre-draft visits. The Rams and Redskins are two of the notables on his visit list but neither team is expected to use a first round pick on him.
