Wisconsin forward Blake Geoffrion has won the 2010 Hobey Baker Award. The award is given annually to the top player in NCAA hockey. Geoffrion was a key part of the Badgers success this season, scoring 28 goals and 22 assists in 39 games.
Geoffrion is the grandson of Montreal Canadiens great 'Boom-Boom' Geoffrion. He was selected by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the NHL Draft in 2006. He's a physical force on the ice and will begin likely begin his professional career next year in the Predators organization.
