With the trade of Holmes everybody is thinking we need a WR in the first couple of rounds. Not so. We have been preparing for this for 2 years.
2 drafts ago we drafted Limas Sweed. Why we had two pretty good WR and a decent third. Wouldn't O-line be better? And what about Wallace last year? Couldn't we had address depth at some other position? And what about the FA WR we signed this year? Randle el and Battle overcowd a good WR corp. Why sign them? Because in addition to those two being good ST'ers they were signed to help us overcome the lose of Holmes.
Does that mean we won't grab a WRat all this draft? Not at all. More than likely it's going to be a late round pick who we can develop and have ready when Hines retires. A Shay Hodge, a Joe Webb. But not a Dez. I'm not opposed to Tate or Thomas but only in the 2nd.
