2010 SB Nation NFL Mock Draft: Pick 57

The second round of the 2010 SB Nation NFL Mock Draft rolls along. We're having each SB Nation blogger make selections for their respective teams. Bruce Raffel, lead blogger of SB Nation's Baltimore Ravens blog, Baltimore Beatdown, checks in to make the No. 57 overall selection in this year's mock. Take it away!

With the No. 57 overall pick in the 2010 SB Nation NFL Mock Draft, the Baltimore Ravens have selected Tyson Alualu, DT, California.

Brandon says: Alualu is everything that the Baltimore Ravens organization covet in a defender. Not only is he a relentless D-Lineman, but Alualu is an extremely mature, family man. When it comes to a high character player, few teams live by that trait like the Ravens do. Due to his play style and physical build, Alualu could benefit a little more from a 4-3 defense as CBS Sports says "Scouts believe Alualu's numbers would be even more impressive if he were playing in a 4-3 defense," but I definitely see him dominating as a 3-4 DE. 6'4", 295 pounds is the build we are looking for in a DE and need to starting breeding the next monster to takeover for Trevor Pryce. Have seen multiple outlets say that Alualu plays with "reckless abandon," and that is what a Ray Lewis led defense wants. His durability could be the best aspect of his game, as Alualu has played in all 51 games during his career at California, 38 of which were consecutive starts dating back to his sophomore year. Physical, relentless and willing to go after anything, Alualu plays like a Raven.

Mocking Dan reacts: It may not be a good thing for Baltimore to get out of the first two rounds without a cornerback. But that's what has happened in this scenario. Alualu and Gresham were good need fills, so it's hard to fault the picks that much. But cornerback is such a dire need for the Ravens.

Mocking the Draft's Top 5 remaining prospects: 1 - Rob Gronkowski/TE/Arizona, 2 - Brandon Spikes/LB/Florida, 3 - Aaron Hernandez, TE, Florida, 4 - Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois, 5 - Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford
